Gas Turbine

Mitsubishi is one of a few global companies with the in-house capacity and expertise to design, manufacture, install and service large scale industrial gas turbines. 

Our turbines are developed and built at the Takasago Works in Japan, which benefits from R&D, manufacturing and large-scale testing facilities all being located on one site.

We offer a range of gas turbines for large scale industrial use up to 300MW class – and have over 500 units in operation around the world. 

In 2009 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd completed the development of the “J-series” gas turbine, with the world’s largest power generation capacity and highest thermal efficiency.

The “J-Series” achieves a rated power output of about 320 megawatts (MW) (ISO basis) and 460MW combined cycle power generation, and we are aiming to achieve over 60% thermal efficiency in GTCC applications setting new benchmark standards worldwide.

Delivery for 60Hz machines will begin in 2011 with 50Hz machines following in 2014.
