Solar power offers huge potential to meet energy needs in a sustainable way. MHI has developed ground-breaking photovoltaic cells (PV) which use ‘thin-film technology” to convert light into electricity.

Our thin film PV modules are made from silane gas by depositing thin layers of semiconductor alloys on a glass substrate. They have environmental advantages over conventional crystalline PV modules – using less energy and silicon in the manufacturing process and have a potentially shorter energy payback time.

Our 100 and 130 watt modules are in successful operation world-wide in a range of on-grid applications.
