Onshore Wind

MHI has three decades of experience in the research and development, manufacture and supply of wind turbine generators. Over 5,000 units have been sold worldwide since the first experimental 40kW wind machine was manufactured in 1980.

MPSE currently markets both 1MW and 2.4MW onshore wind turbines in 50hz format. With the development of a large capacity model of 2.4 MW, Mitsubishi continues to set a lead in performance, reliability and lower noise operation.

We were heavily involved in the mass deployment of on-shore wind power generation in Europe; we supplied 103 units in the early 1990s to what was, until 2009, the UK’s largest onshore wind farm in Wales. MPSE is excited about bringing Mitsubishi back to the European market in 2010, being one of the few major manufacturers to have grown using technology developed in-house.
